Julie Yandell

Julie is senior manager of the training group for ONESOURCE Tax Provision at Thomson Reuters. She joined Thomson Reuters and Taxstream, LLC in September 2006 as an implementation manager. In 2007, she worked with the training group as well. In March of 2009 she became the head of the ONESOURCE Tax Provision training. Later ONESOURCE WorkFlow Manager was added to her responsibility.

Before coming to Thomson Reuters, she worked 15 years in large tax software companies in a variety of different capacities, and five years in public accounting.

Julie has a MS in Accounting, with a specialization in Tax from the University of North Texas and a Bachelors degree from Texas A&M University. She is a licensed CPA in Texas.

Steve Swain

Steve is a Senior Manager in Thomson Reuters' Tax and Accounting division with primary responsibility for designing, creating and conducting virtual and onsite training for the ONESOURCE Tax Provision application. Most recently, Steve created virtual "eLearning" tax provision courses that are made available via ONESOURCE University, a multi-portal, global-based Internet training site.

Steve also has teaching experience in a non-tax discipline. He was on the faculty for several years at Georgia State University teaching political theory and philosophy as part of his original career goal to obtain a PhD in Political Science. In that program, Steve's primary academic focus was the computerized statistical analysis of behavioral data. These efforts culminated in a study published by Georgia State University entitled, Identifying State Representatives – A Causal Analysis of Political Knowledge in Georgia.

Steve's 16 years of experience with Arthur Andersen included serving as the National Director for Technology Consultants, a client-facing field organization providing tax technology services. Steve duties with Andersen included the design and creation of all training materials for Andresen's corporate income tax applications.

Steve has published taxation and technology related articles in journals and magazines such as:

Scott Freeman

Scott Freeman

Scott joined Thomson Reuters in September 2010 as a training manager. His duties include onsite and WebEx training primarily related to the ONESOURCE Tax Provision system and the uncertain tax position application. He is also the primary trainer for the Certified Implementer Program with respect to ONESOURCE Tax Provision.

Before coming to Thomson Reuters, Scott practiced in public accounting for approximately 21 years. During that time, he was a south Florida-based partner in a national accounting firm and focused primarily on corporate taxation and accounting for income taxes pursuant to ASC 740.

Scott has a BA in Business, with a specialization in accounting, from Bowling Green State University. He is a licensed CPA in both Florida and Ohio.

Calvin Hayes

Calvin Hayes

Calvin joined Thomson Reuters in January 2010 as training manager. In this role he is responsible for conducting onsite and web training for the ONESOURCE Tax Provision system.

Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Calvin held positions in both domestic and international taxes. Calvin's work experience includes both public and private corporate tax and accounting experience. His prior assignments include international tax compliance work with Merck & Co., public accounting as an international tax manager with Ernst and Young, and several consulting assignments with GE and Citicorp.

Calvin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Bloomfield College, is a certified public accountant (CPA), and holds FINRA Series 6 credentials. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the NJ Society of CPAs.
